a Remove:
- the nut (9) from the positive wiring,
- the positive wiring.
a Remove the bracket (10) from the battery.
a Unclip the degassing pipe (11) .
a Remove the battery.

REFITTING
I - REFITTING PREPARATION OPERATION
a Check the battery (see Battery: Check) (Technical
Note 6002A, 80A, Battery).
II - REFITTING OPERATION FOR PART
CONCERNED
1 - REFITTING
a Refit the battery.
a Clip the degassing pipe in place.
a Refit the battery bracket.
a Tighten the battery bracket.
a Refit:
- the positive wiring onto the battery disconnection
unit,
- the positive wiring nut onto the battery disconnec-
tion unit.
WARNING
Incorrect tightening could cause heating of con-
tacts, starting or charging faults, sparking, or
could cause the battery to explode (see 80A,
Battery, Battery: Precautions for the repair,
page 80A-1) .
a Torque tighten the nut of the positive wiring on
the battery disconnection unit (8 N.m).
a Push the positive battery terminal fully onto the bat-
tery terminal post.
WARNING
Incorrect tightening could cause heating of con-
tacts, starting or charging faults, sparking, or
could cause the battery to explode (see 80A,
Battery, Battery: Precautions for the repair,
page 80A-1) .
a Torque tighten the positive battery terminal (8
N.m).
2 - CONNECTION
a Clip the negative wiring onto the battery tray.
