D.7 Reactor
To enhance grid protection, reduce harmonic interference from the VFD to the grid, and improve input
power factor, consider configuring external DC reactors, input reactors, or passive harmonic filters
based on your specific application needs.
If you want to use long cables between the VFD and the motor, select external output reactors, dv/dt
attenuation filters, or sine-wave filters based on the motor cable length. This helps mitigate excessive
dv/dt, reducing voltage stress on the motor windings as well as protecting them, and extending the
motor's lifespan. Refer to the table below for recommended output filter selections according to motor
