Maintain the Node
This chapter provides procedures for maintaining the Cisco ONS 15454, including database backups and
restoration, removing and replacing cards, viewing the ONS 15454 audit trail, and hardware
maintenance procedures such as cleaning fibers, changing the fan tray filter, and other maintenance
procedures.
Unless otherwise specified, "ONS 15454" refers to both ANSI and ETSI shelf assemblies.

conditions. Refer to the Cisco ONS 15454 SONET and DWDM Troubleshooting Guide as necessary for
general troubleshooting information and alarm or error descriptions.
