■ Reload and Compare Functions
The 8/16-bit up/down counters/timers have reload and compare clear functions, which can be combined for
processing. Table 6.1-3 presents examples of selecting the reload and compare clear functions.

When the Reload Function is Enabled
When the reload function is started, the value of the RCR is transferred to the UDCR with the timing of the
down count clock after an underflow. In this case, when UDFF is set, an interrupt request is generated.
In a mode in which down counting is not performed, starting this function is invalid.
