SUBJECT: S7JCRUZ CAMPAIGN (Type " S " Campaign)
Some 1987 YJ vehicles equipped with cruise control may have a cruise control regulator that could
react inconsistently when the cruise control system is in the ON position.
This is a Safety Campaign subject to all campaign procedures involving safety related elements.
Vehicles involved in this campaign were built between the following Vehicle Identification Numbers
(VIN) 2 B X X X X X X X X X 5 3 0 2 1 9 and VIN 2 B X X X X X X X X X 5 3 1 0 9 3 .
Service correction involves inspecting vehicles and replacing the regulator if required.
PROCEDURE
1. Check the regulator for a daub of white paint.
If there is a white mark, release the vehicle.
If a white mark is not evident continue with
the procedure.
2. Remove the mounting screws (A) that holds
the regulator (B) in place under the
dashboard on the drivers side by the fuse
panel.
3.
Disconnect the electrical connector (C) from
the regulator.
