BRAKE SYSTEM SERVICE
BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL
Disconnect the brake light switch wires.
Remove the bolt (1) and locknuts (8) that attach
the push rod to the pedal (9). Then remove the
brake light switch (5) and bushings (2), (3) and
(4).
Remove the bolt and nut that attach the brake
pedal to the dash bracket and remove the pedal
(9).
Remove the spacer (7) and bushings (6) from
the pedal.

BRAKE PEDAL INSTALLATION
Install the bushings (6) in the pedal.
Position the pedal in the dash bracket and in-
stall the spacer (7) and pedal attaching bolt and
nut.
Assemble the brake light switch (5) and bush-
ings (2), (3) and (4) and install them on the brake
pedal.
Connect the push rod and brake light switch to
the pedal with replacement bolt (1) and nuts (8).
Connect the brake light switch wires.
