Remove the dial indicator and differential
bearing c a p s . Tag the caps for assembly
reference.
Remove the differential assembly. If the
differential is still a fairly snug fit, use a pry bar
to e a s e the differential out of the bearing
saddles.
R e m o v e the s p r e a d e r tool and c l a m p s
immediately after removing the differential. This
is important in avoiding the possibility of the
housing taking a set.
