PARKING BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL
Loosen the cable adjusting nuts (A) at the
equalizer (C).
Disconnect the brake warning light switch wire
at the parking brake pedal assembly.
Remove the nuts that attach the pedal assem-
bly mounting studs (1) to the dash panel. The
nuts are a c c e s s i b l e from the engine
compartment.
Remove the bolt (2) that attaches the pedal as-
sembly to the instrument panel.
Compress the front cable lock tabs (3) and dis-
engage the tabs.
Disconnect the front cable (4) from the pivot
bracket (5) and remove the pedal assembly (6).
PARKING BRAKE PEDAL INSTALLATION
Connect the front cable (4) to the pedal pivot
(5).
Insert the pedal assembly mounting studs (1)
into the dash panel stud holes.
Position the pedal assembly on the kick panel
and instrument panel and install attaching bolt
(2).
Install the nuts on the pedal mounting studs (1).
Connect the brake warning light wire.
Adjust the parking brakes. Refer to Parking
Brake Adjustment.
