13. Attach a tie strap (O) to the fuel line and
secure it to the machining hole (P) of the
block. This will keep the line from dropping
until the other end is connected to the fuel
pump.
14. Lower the vehicle.
15. Remove the fuel pump.
16. Install new fuel pump PN 3240172. Do not
torque the bolts at this time.
17. Attach a 9 inch long section of fuel hose (Q),
PN 8125823, to the fuel line (K) and the fuel
pump. Use two clamps (R), PN 318 1643, to
secure the hose.
18. Remove the front fuel pump attaching bolt.
19. Attach a clip, PN 4007428 (T) to the fuel line
and secure the clip to the fuel pump with the
bolt previously removed. Torque the fuel
pump mounting bolts to 17.5 N.m (13 ft-lbs).
20. Connect the new fuel pump-to-fuel filter line,
PN 8953 005 137, to the fuel filter hose. Use
a new clamp to secure the line in place.
21. Connect the other end of the fuel pump-to-
fuel filter line to the fuel pump.
22. Connect the battery negative cable.
23. Install the air cleaner.
24. Start the vehicle and check for leaks.
