OEIERAL INFORMATION
The Solid State Ignition (SSI) system is used on
the six-cylinder Wrangler/YJ Models. The SSI
s y s t e m c o n s i s t s of the following major
components:
• micro computer unit (MCU)
• electronic ignition control unit
• ignition coil
• resistance wire
• distributor
• knock sensor
• cap and rotor
• spark plugs and wires
