Install the check balls (A) (B) in the valve body.
Install the pressure regulator valve s c r e e n (3) in
the separator plate (4) and rear clutch check ball
(2).
Position the separator plate (4) on the transfer
plate (1) and the sfiffener plate on the separator
plate.
Install the stiffener and s e p a r a t o r plate-to-
transfer plate retaining s c r e w s . Tighten the
s c r e w s to 4 N-m (35 in-lbs) torque.
Position the transfer plate assembly on the valve
body and install the retaining s c r e w s finger-tight.
NOTE: Before tightening the retaining s c r e w s
be sure the pressure regulator filter s c r e e n is
properly aligned.
Starting at the center and working outward,
tighten the transfer plate a s s e m b l y retaining
s c r e w s to 4 N-m (35 in-lbs) torque.
Install the E-clip and park control rod on the
manual lever assembly.
Install the oil filter.
C h e c k and adjust the throttle and line pressure
settings if n e c e s s a r y .
NOTE:
If p r e s s u r e s were satisfactory before
disassembly, do not change the line or throttle
pressure adjusting s c r e w settings.
