Before attempting to repair a suspected trans-
fer c a s e malfunction, c h e c k all other driveline
components. T h e actual c a u s e of a problem
m a y be r e l a t e d to s u c h i t e m s a s a x l e s ,
driveshafts, U-joints, w h e e l s / t i r e s a n d the
engine or transmission. If all other driveline
components are in good condition and oper-
ating properly, refer to the Transfer C a s e Diag-
nosis chart for further information.
