R e m o v e the I S A motor from the mounting
bracket a s follows:
CAUTION: Do not attempt to remove the I S A
m o t o r - t o - b r a c k e t nuts ( B ) without u s i n g a
backup wrench on the stud nuts (A). ISA motor
internal components may be dislodged if the
studs disengage and the motor c a p c o m e s off.
N O T E : It may be n e c e s s a r y to thin the backup
wrench on a grinder before it will fit between the
motor and bracket.
• P l a c e backup 8 mm open end wrench on the
ISA motor stud nuts (A) to prevent the studs

• R e m o v e the I S A motor-to-bracket attaching

nuts (B) and remove the motor (C) from the
E bracket (D).

Installation
Install the I S A motor ( C ) on the mounting
bracket (D).
C o n n e c t the following:
• c r u i s e control c a b l e (if equipped)
•throttle return spring
•throttle c a b l e (to I S A / W O T mounting bracket
and throttle body)
• ISA motor and W O T switch wires
Install the air c l e a n e r assembly.
Extend the ISA motor plunger a s follows:
• P r e s s accelerator downward to 1/4 - 1/2
throttle position and start the engine (this
procedure prevents the ISA motor plunger from
retracting).
• S t o p the engine after 5-10 s e c o n d s . W h e n the
ignition is turned off, the ISA motor plunger will
fully extend.
NOTE: T h e ISA motor plunger must be fully
extended before operating the vehicle. If the
plunger is not fully extended beforehand, the
c l o s e d throttle switch may open pre-maturely
c a u s i n g idle s p e e d to drop to approximately
400 R P M .
