STEERING COLUMN SERVICE
Lubricate the spring contact surface of the tilt
spring guide (23) liberally with chassis grease
and install the spring (24) in the guide.
Insert the assembled tilt spring (24) and guide
(23) in the housing.
Press the guide downward with a phillips
screwdriver. Turn the guide clockwise and seat
the guide tabs in the housing.
Install the turn signal actuator arm clip (41) on
the wiper switch (42). Be sure the clip is seated.

Install the wiper switch (42) and switch pin (44).
Install the pin so it protrudes approximately 1/16
inch above the switch pivot (43) as shown.

Be sure the dimmer switch rod end (39) is align-
ed with the cam (38).
Coat the dimmer switch actuator cam (B) with a
liberal quantity of chassis grease and position
the cam on the cover (A).
