In-Vehicle Procedures
A — Fluid Level and Condition: Fluid should
be at the full mark with the engine idling. Fluid
should not be milky, full of bubbles or dark and
burnt smelling. Use J E E P automatic transmis-
sion fluid or an equivalent D e x r o n ® II fluid only.
B — Throttle Linkage: Check for smooth trav-
el. Clean but do not lubricate the linkage pivot
points. Adjust as necessary.
C — Gearshift Linkage: Adjust if necessary.
D — Engine Idle Adjustment: Set to
specifications.
