BRAKE SYSTEM SERVICE

Check brake operation before moving the
vehicle.
I RONT BRAKE ROTOR REMOVAL
Loosen the wheel nuts and raise the
vehicle.
Remove the wheel and front caliper. Do not dis-
connect the brake hose from the caliper.
CAUTION: Do not allow the brake hose to sup-
port the weight of the caliper. Tie the caliper to
the body or a suspension component.
Remove the rotor (2) from the hub (1).

FRONT BRAKE ROTOR INSTALLATION
Clean the mounting surfaces of the hub (1) and
rotor (2) and mount the rotor on the hub.
Install the caliper and wheel.
Lower the vehicle and check brake operation.
FRONT BRAKE CALIPER REMOVAL
Drain two-thirds of the brake fluid from the
master cylinder reservoirs.
Loosen the wheel nuts and raise the vehicle.
Remove the wheels.
Press the caliper piston (1) back into its bore
with a C-clamp or screwdriver (2).

Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.
Discard the seal washer used between the hose
and caliper fittings.
Remove the caliper mounting pins (3) and re-
move the caliper.
