(ETM) for diagnostic information.
INTERMITTENT GOVERNOR DIAGNOSTIC
TESTING
R e m o v e the intermittent governor wiper
module.
Connect the intermittent governor wiper module
connectors together.
To determine if the delay is defective, rotate the
wiper switch in that mode and measure the
resistance between A-D and A - G , (wiper switch
disconnected).
If the resistance is not 0-500K OHMS, replace
the wiper switch a s outlined in the Steering
Column Section.
If resistance is correct, replace the module.
NOTE: The intermittent circuit is the same as the
nonintermittent circuit when the module is
removed.
Refer to the Electrical Troubleshooting Manual
( E T M ) for further t e s t i n g . (A " H o w - t o -
Troubleshoot" section is located in the front of
the ETM.)
Test for:
• If the wipers operate in the low and high speed
modes, and the washer is working, then the
intermittent wiper module is defective.
• If the wipers operate in the low and high speed
modes, and the washer is working, then the
delay resistance in the wiper switch is
defective.
