OVERHAUL
R e m o v e t h e front b e a r i n g r e t a i n e r (41).
C a r e f u l l y pry t h e r e t a i n e r l o o s e with a
screwdriver. Position the screwdriver in the slots
(42) cast into the retainer.

R e m o v e the input gear s n a p ring (43).

P r e s s the input and low range gear a s s e m b l y
(44) out of the input gear bearing with tool
J-29170 and an arbor press.
