This I.S. Note is to advise dealers that catalytic convenor replacement is no longer a required emission
maintenance item on the following 1985 49-State/Canada Eagle and J e e p models:
1985 49-STATE MODELS 1985 CANADA MODELS
Eagle/Jeep models with: J e e p J-20 Truck models
2.46L I-4 engine with 5.9L V8 engine.
4.2L I-6 engine
2.8L V6 engine
5.9L V8 engine
Convenor replacement at 105,000 miles (169,000 km) is indicated in the 1985 E a g l e / J e e p Warranty
and Maintenance Guides supplied to U.S. and C a n a d a owners. P l e a s e advise owners that this is no
longer a required item.
N O T E : The convenor replacement indicated in the 1985 C a n a d a J e e p Warranty and Maintenance
Guide, applied only to 1985 J e e p J-20 Truck models with V8 engine.
