THROTTLE BODY FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM

GENERAL INFORMATION

This allows fuel to pass through to the atomizer/
spray nozzle (E).
During engine operation, the fuel injector is
energized by the E C U and functions to meter
and direct atomized fuel into the throttle tore
from above the throttle plate.

BALLAST RESISTOR (1983 1986 Renault)
T h e ballast resistor is attached to the right side
of the plenum chamber.
T h e purpose of the resistor is to reduce the fuel
pump s p e e d after the e n g i n e is started-up
(ignition switch returned to the ON position).
T h e resistor is b y p a s s e d w h e n the ignition
switch is in the S T A R T position.
