REMOVAL
HINT:
A bolt without a torque specification is shown in the standard
bolt chart (see page
1.

Using a torx® socket wrench (T30), remove the 8 screws and
service hole cover.

Remove the 2 bolts and tail gate handle assembly.
5.
Using a torx® socket wrench (T40), remove the 4 screws and
tail gate lock strikers.

Be careful not to drop the tail gate.

REMOVE TAIL GATE PROTECTOR (See page

REMOVE SERVICE HOLE COVER
REMOVE TAIL GATE LOCK
Remove the 2 tail gate lock links from the tail gate locks
and tail gate handle assembly.
Using a torx® socket wrench (T40), remove the 4 screws
and 2 tail gate locks.
REMOVE TAIL GATE HANDLE ASSEMBLY
REMOVE TAIL GATE LOCK STRIKERS
REMOVE TAIL GATE CABLE
Remove the deck side shaft and tail gate cable from the
deck.
Remove the gate side shaft and tail gate cable.
Use the same proedures described above to the other
side.
REMOVE TAIL GATE
Remove the 2 bolts and tail gate.
Using a torx® socket wrench (T40), remove the 6 screws
and 2 tail gate hinges from the tail gate.
