Neutral Switch Inspection - TOHATSU BFT115A Service Manual

NEUTRAL SWITCH INSPECTION

Remove the front separate cover (page 6-3).
Remove the switch panel cable 14P connector (1) and
indicator wire harness 6P connector (2) from the neutral
switch bracket (3), then disconnect them.
Remove the neutral switch 2P connector (1) from the
connector bracket A and disconnect it.
Attach the tester leads to the two terminals at the
neutral switch.
Continuity should exist between the each position as
follows:
SWITCH PUSHED
(Shift lever in "N")
SWITCH RELEASED
(Shift lever in "F" or "R")
Replace the neutral switch if there is any abnormality.
Continuity
No continuity
