Remove the O-ring (1) from the rod guide (2).
Remove the dust seal (3) using a sharp-end
screwdriver (4) or equivalent tool.
Remove the oil seal (5) from the rod guide in the same
manner.
• Be careful not to damage the oil seal installation
surface of the rod guide.
Replace the rod guide with a new one, if damaged.
Remove the O-ring (1) and backup ring (2) from the
piston rod B (3).
Hold the cylinder in a vise (page 19-27).
Make sure that the piston rod (1) is in the fully extended
position.
Loosen the cylinder cap (2) using the special tool.
