STARTER MOTOR REMOVAL/
INSTALLATION
Disconnect the battery negative (–) terminal.
Remove the electric parts case (page 10-5).
Disconnect starter motor S terminal (1) from the starter
solenoid (2).
Remove the two nuts (3), alternator fuse cable (4),
washer (5) and starter cable (6) from the starter
solenoid.
Remove the two bolts (10 x 90 mm) (7) and starter
motor (8).
Remove the O-ring (59.4 x 3.1 mm) (9) from the starter
motor.
Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
• Replace the O-ring with a new one and coat it with
engine oil.
• Install the starter cable and alternator fuse cable as shown direction.
11 N·m (1.1 kgf·m, 8 lbf·ft)
