Short description
Sensitivity calibration; calibration of each pixel in a
line
Transport direction of Image Plate through the scan
unit.
A measure of the exposure necessary to produce a
defined density.
A value representing the number of image plates, a
digitizer can scan in a certain time frame.
A programming interface that lets a graphics
application activate a scanner, frame grabber or
other image-capturing device.
User Interface; part of a computer program that
handles interaction with the user.
Uninterruptible Power Supply. Backup power used
when the electrical power fails or drops to an
unacceptable voltage level.
Uniform Resource Locator. The address that
defines the route to a file on the Web or any other
Internet facility. URLs are typed into the browser to
access Web pages, and URLs are embedded within
the pages themselves to provide the hypertext links
to other pages.
