2. R em ove trim panel fro m door. T r im panel is r e ­
tained by four sea l screw s.
3. Rem ove used cem ent with cem ent re m o v e r.
Apply seal to door.

D OOR LOCKS— 1 0 -6 0 SERIES
(Refer to Figs. 4 7 , 4 8 and 4 9 )
The locks are of the fr e e ro to r type. They include a
safety in terlock featu re. W h ere n ecessary, s tr ik e r spac­
e rs should be used to insure sa tis fa c to ry lock and s trik e r
engagement.
Removal
1. R aise window.
2. R em ove inside handles with T o o l J-7797.
3. R em ove trim panel.
R em ove rem ote con trol s ill knob.

5. From outside the door rem ove screw s retaining lock
to door edge and lo w e r the lock assem bly.
6. Rem ove screw s retainin g rem ote control.
7. R em ove lock, push button rod and rem ote con trol rod
as an assem bly.
Installation
1. T ra n s fe r rem ote rod with clip to new lock.
2. Connect rem ote door handle rod to lock a fte r lock is
positioned.
3. Secure lock screw s.
Secure rem ote handle.

5. Check a ll controls fo r p ro p er operation b e fo re rein ­
stallin g trim and handles.
6. In stall rem ote con trol s ill knob.
Front Door Lock C ylinder Assem bly
Removal and Installation
1. R aise door window
2. W ith a s cre w d riv e r,
lock cylin d er retaining clip (on door outer panel) out
of engagem ent and rem ove lock cylin der.
3. T o in stall, r e v e r s e rem o va l procedu re.
Front Door Lock Remote Control and Connecting Rod
The rem ote control is secu red to the door inner panel
by the three attaching bolts.
Removal and Installation
1. R a ise door window
2. R em ove bolts secu ring rem ote to door inner panel.
3. P iv o t rem ote inboard sligh tly, to disengage connect­
ing rod, and rem o ve rem ote fro m door.
4. T o in stall, r e v e r s e rem o va l procedu re.
NOTE: Connecting rod can be rem oved at this
point by disconnecting spring clip fro m
REAR SIDE D O O R -P A N E L A N D SUBURBAN LOCK
Removal and Installation (Fig. 50 )
1. Wind window glass to closed position.
2. R em ove control knobs and trim assem bly.
3. R em ove th ree (3) s crew s fro m the door end - at the
ro to r lock.
4. R em ove two (2) spring clip s fro m the control rods.

5. M ove the lock assem bly inward, rotate around the
channel assem bly and rem ove through the door ac­
cess hole.
6. R e v e rs e procedu re to in stall.

Removal and Installation
1. F o llo w above procedu re fo r lock rem oval.
2. R em ove th ree (3) screw s fro m center rem ote control
m echanism and rem ove with attaching rod and spring
clip. (See F igu re 51.)
NOTE: Note position of rod end i f disconnect­
ing fo r p ro p er replacem ent.
3. U nscrew door lock
assem bly.
4. R em ove fiv e (5) attaching screw s and the upper trim
molding: two (2) forw ard , one (1) cen ter and two (2)
r e a r screw s. The fo rw a rd and re a r rem ote control
assem b lies are attached
5. L o w e r the re a r rem ote con trol assem bly fa r enough
fo r rem o va l of the spring clip attachment through a
door access hole. (See F igu re 52.)
6. R em ove r e a r rem ote con trol through la rg e door ac­
cess hole.
7. Guide the attaching rod with the fron t rem ote control
and rem o ve door trim
o r other suitable tool, slide
and rem o ve door trim pad.
