Gas Tank
1. Gas tank f i ll e r spout is located in a rece s s e d box in
left side at the re a r.
2. T o rem o ve gas gauge disconnect gas line, gas tank
fill e r spout, loosen gas tank hanger strap and drop
tank to ground.
V o ltage Regulator & H ea d lam p Relay
R em ove plate on bulkhead panel at front side o f right
hand slidin g door to gain a c c ess to voltage regu lator and
headlamp relay.
H eater
1. Hose w ire connections are a ccessib le through door
in outer cowl panel (fig . 89).
Horn
1. Horn w ire connections

Engine Housing
1. R elea se catch, open engine box lid and lock hinge
a rm in open position.

2. Rem ove a c c e le ra to r pedal by taking out 2 cap screw s.
3. Rem ove m etal screw s around bottom of box, on v e r ­
tic a l sides at right re a r co rn er and le ft front corn er.
4. Rem ove box.
5. R e v e rs e procedu re to install.
W indshield W ipers
1. To s e rv ic e windshield w iper m otor rem ove inspec­
tion plate (B ) in center of fron t end header panel
above windshield.
2. P iv o t assem blies s e rv ic e through openings on each
side of w iper m otor.
3. W iper switch is mounted in front end header a c ­
cessib le through left side opening.
4. C ircu it b rea k er fo r w ip er m otor is located on f i r e ­
w all d ire c tly above clutch pedal.
W indshield Wipers Adjustment
1. To adjust position of windshield w iper arm s have
them in park position. M ark this position on glass
with grease pencil.
2. R em ove the holding nut and lock washer fro m the
end of d rive shaft.
3. L ift off w ip er arm and knurled d riv e r. In m ost cases,
the knurled d riv e r rem ains inside the w ip er arm .
Tap on arm ligh tly to rem ove the d riv e r and place
it back on w iper d rive shaft.
4. Position the arm above or below the m ark on wind­
shield as desired, rep la ce lock washer and tighten
holding nut.
COMPLETE DRIVER'S W IN D O W
Installation
1. A ssem ble w eath erstrip rubber to the opening with
w eath erstrip reta in er groove to inside of body mak­
ing sure the outer channel of w eath erstrip is fir m ly
seated on edge of door panel all around the opening.
Watch this ca refu lly on the co rn er radius. It is im ­
portant to start the rubber at the top at the point
