The 10-SI S eries D elcotron generator illustrated in
F igu re ID features a solid state regu lator that is mounted
inside the generator slip ring end fram e. A ll regulator
components a re enclosed into a solid mold, and this unit
along with the brush holder assem bly is attached to the
slip rin g end fram e. The regu lator voltage setting never
needs adjusting, and no
provided.
No p erio d ic adjustments o r maintenance of any kind are
req u ired on the entire gen erator assem bly.
The gen erator ro to r bearings contain a supply o f lu b ri­
cant sufficiently adequate
p erio d ic lubrication. Tw o brushes c a rry current through

The stator windings are assem bled on the inside o f a
lam inated core that form s part of the generator fram e.
A r e c tifie r bridge connected to the stator windings con­
tains six diodes, and e le c tr ic a lly changes the stator a.c.
volta ges to a d.c. voltage which appears at the generator
output term inal.
through a diode trio which also is connected to the stator
windings. A capacitor, or condenser, mounted in the
end fram e protects the r e c tifie r bridge and diode trio
from high voltages, and suppresses radio noise.
