the engine o v e r, until the push rod is in
fu lly ra ised position.
CA U TIO N :
The distribu tor p rim a ry lead must
be disconnected fro m
coil and the ignition switch must be in the on
position.
F a ilu re to do this w ill resu lt in a
damaged grounding circu it in the ignition switch.
5. Com pare the total lift recorded fro m the dial indi­
cator with sp ecification s.
6. Continue to rotate the engine until the indicator reads
zero .
T h is w ill be a check on the accuracy o f the
origin a l indicator reading.
7. If cam shaft readings fo r a ll lobes a re within sp eci­
fications, rem ove dial indicator assem bly.
