5. R em ove 2 s k irt to fen d er bolts, located inboard on
underside of skirt.
6. Rem ove two s c re w s attaching gusset to fender.
7. Rem ove two s c rew s attaching rad iator support to
fron t fen der.
8. R em ove fou r bolts attaching rad iator g r ille to fender.
9. R em ove bolt and shim attaching to tra ilin g edge of
fen der to hinge p illa r .
10. R em ove two bolts and shims at top r e a r of fender
attaching to cowl.
Installation
T o in stall, r e v e r s e the re m o v a l procedure using se a l­
ing tape between f i l l e r panel and fender.

4 0 thru 6 0 Series
Removal
1. R em ove w indshield w ip e r arm s.
2. R em ove cow l g rille --d is c o n n e c tin g
lead.
3. R em ove hood, outlining hinge bolts at fender b efore
rem oving.
4. L ift hood off.
5. R em ove two bolts and shim s attaching fender to cowl.
6. R em ove 1 sc re w fro m inside cab (plastic plug c o vers
a ccess mounting). (Do not rem ove cow l bracket.)
7. R em ove screw s connecting
flange.
8. Right fen d er rem ova l n ecessitates rem ova l of b a ttery
cables, b attery and th ree screw s attaching battery
tra y to fender.
9. R em ove 1 bolt hidden fro m v iew connecting g r ille
lo w e r panel to fron t inboard edge of fen der (access
hole provid ed ).
10. R em ove bolts connecting g r ille to fron t fen d er fro m
inside o f engine com partm ent.

11. R em ove 3 bolts fastening gusset to fen der and g r ille
(fig . 17).
12. Rem ove two bolts fastening gusset to fender.
13. R em ove a ll e le c tr ic a l connections.
Installation
T o install, r e v e r s e the rem oval procedure using s ea l­
ing tape between f i l l e r panel and fender.

Removal
1. Rem ove windshield w iper arm s.
2. R em ove cow l g r ille and attaching screw s.
3. Rem ove hood and hood hinge assem bly.
N O TE Inboard nut must be
flush with last th re ad of brace
and outboard nut must run up
against fram e to position brace
in furthest ou tboard position.
