3. Thoroughly clean spring eye pin, making sure lu b ri­
cant passages a re open.
w ea r is evident.
4. Inspect spring eye bushing fo r w ear. If e x c essive
w ea r is evident, rep la ce bushing using T o o l J-8459
(See Figure 21).
5. R eplace rebound clip bolts o r center bolt i f damaged
in any way.

te r bolt, then install rebound clip b olts and spacers.
Tighten center bolt firm ly ;
enough to hold lea ve s in alignment without re s tric tin g
fr e e m ovem ent.
Installation
1. Position spring assem bly on spring saddle with cen­
te r bolt head in locating hole in saddle, and with
spring ends in place at fra m e hangers.

tighten rebound clip bolts
