3. Ratchet pawl (F ig . 26, 27)
a. D isconnect ratchet pawl spring.
b. R em ove ratchet paw l retaining ring and slide
ratchet pawl o ff cam fo llo w e r shaft.
4. Ratchet wheel (F ig . 26, 27)
a. F o llo w step 1 u n d e r
d isassem bly.
b. M ove ratchet w heel spring out o f shaft g roove
and slide ratchet w heel o ff its shaft.
5. Pump and actuator plate assem bly (F ig . 28).
a. R em ove solenoid assem b ly - ratchet dog, ratchet
pawl and ratchet wheel as outlined in th eir r e ­
spective proced u res.
b. To separate the pump and pump actuator plate
fro m the fra m e, pull the pump housing in the

a. R em ove the four (4) screw s that attach the va lve
assem bly to the pump housing.
CAUTIO N: During re-a ssem b ly be sure gasket
between housing and va lve plate is p ro p erly
positioned in the housing

7. To assem ble washer unit, r e v e r s e above procedures.
