• Inflate t ir e in safety cage o r use clip -on type a ir chuck
so that o p erator may stand aside during inflation.
• Insure that t ir e is com pletely deflated p r io r to rem ova l
of rings.
M ounting
1. P la c e t ir e on rim so that v a lv e is in line with va lve
hole and in sert va lve through va lv e hole.
2. F o rc e fir s t bead down into w e ll of rim just to side
of v a lv e with foot.
3. Mount

p ro g re s s in g fro m each side of foot to point approxi­
m ately opposite foot (fig . 30).
4. T o apply second bead, start at point opposite va lve
and p re s s bead toe o v e r rim gutter and into rim w ell
with foot p ressu re (fig . 31).
5. Mount rem ain d er of bead o v e r rim gutter by means
of thin t ir e tool, being carefu l not to pinch tube.
6. P la c e half of side ring in rim gutter with cutaway
portions in position as shown.
7. In sert thin end of rim tool o r heavy screw d r iv e r and
pull rin g outward tow ard centered position.

1. F ir s t rem o ve va lv e co re to com pletely deflate t ir e .
2. P la c e t ir e and wheel on flo o r with side ring up.
3. T o loosen fir s t bead, d riv e hooked end of rim tool
between t ir e and rim flan ge and p re s s downward on
bead (fig . 33).

5. T o rem ove rin g, in sert tool in notch and fo r c e rin g
opposite of notch into gutter, then p ry o ff (fig . 34).
6 . P r y

(Be carefu l not to bend side ring.)
7. F o rce upper t ir e bead into w ell opposite the va lve
slot and with t ir e tool p ry opposite portion of bead
o v e r edge of rim (fig. 35).
8 . Turn t ir e
o v e r and by means of rim tools, loosen
bead on opposite bead seat.

9. Make sure one portion o f second bead is s till in the
rim w e ll, then p ry opposite portion of bead o v e r edge
