REAR BUMPER—C A N D K MODELS (Fig. 2)
Removal
1. Rem ove
bolts
attaching
brace.
Disconnect licen se lamp w irin g on surburban
and panels and pickup.
2. R em ove b olts attaching bumper to fram e.
3. R em ove bum per from veh icle.
4. If n ecessa ry , rep la ce body d irt seal.
Installation
In sta ll r e a r bum per follow in g rem oval procedu re in

Removal
1. R em ove bolts attaching face bar to le ft and right
bumper brackets.
2. Rem ove bolts securing fa ce bar to fra m e and rem ove
bumper fro m veh icle.
NOTE:
If n ecessary to rem ove bum per brack­
ets fro m
fra m e , d riv e out r iv e ts and rem ove
brack ets.
In stall brackets using bolts, w ashers,
and nuts.
Installation
In stall bum per follow in g the rem ova l procedure in r e ­
v e r s e
o rd e r.
R e fe r to torque sp ecification s in r e a r of
manual fo r c o r r e c t torque values.
FRONT B U M P E R -T MODELS (Fig. 5)
Removal
NOTE:
On t ilt cab m odels equipped with a ir
bumper
to
each bumper
r e v e r s e o rd er.
Connect licen se lamp w iring on suburban,
panel, and pickup m odels.
FRONT B U M P E R -P 2 0 , 3 0 MODELS (Fig. 3 )
Removal
R em ove nuts, w ashers, and bolts securing fron t bumper
to fo rw a rd fra m e horns and rem ove bumper fro m veh icle.
Installation
P la c e bumper in mounted position and secure to fra m e
with bolts, w ashers, and nuts.
40 THRU 60 SERIES,
brakes, the a ir r e s e r v o ir tank mounted inside
the fron t bumper must be rem oved b efo re r e ­
m oving fron t bumper.
1. On T m odels with a ir brakes, vent a ir p ressu re from
system and rem ove a ir r e s e r v o ir fro m inside fron t
bumper.
2. Rem ove bolts securing bumper to fra m e extensions
as
shown
in
F igu re
bumper f i lle r bar may be rem oved by rem ova l of
three retaining bolts.
Installation
Install bumper follow in g rem oval procedu re in r e v e rs e
o rd e r.
