Cleaning and Inspection
Clean the valve in a good cleaning agent such as Speed-
clene o r its equivalent. R eplace a ll rubber seals.
Assem bly

Disassem bly—Lower Body
1. R em ove snap ring fro m end o f va lve.
2. P u ll end cap fr e e fro m va lve body.
3. Hold slotted end of b ra ss plunger and rem ove lock
nut fro m end o f plunger and rem ove plunger, brass
piston and spring.
4. Rem ove inner and outer seal fro m
d irection o f inner seal. (G rooved side toward piston).
5. R em ove 4 bolts fro m lo w er va lve body and push p is ­
ton stem out o f the lo w e r va lve body.
6. Rem ove " 0 " -rin g s from low er body and from piston.

BRAKE CHAMBER REPLACEMENT
Rem oval
1. Block veh icle w heels.
2. With brakes re le a s e d by a ir p ressu re (sprin g caged)
rem ove " spring ca gin g" tool fro m its storage place.
Rem ove spring housing plug, in sert stud in hole and
turn 1/4 turn. Run nut down on stud until fin ger
tight F ig. 134.
