in Figu re 5.

Radiator Replacement
1. Drain rad iator and disconnect w ater hoses and trans­
m ission coolant line if so equipped.
2. If veh icle is equipped with a fan shroud, rem ove
shroud attaching s crew s (fig. 5) and carefu lly hang
shroud o v e r engine fan assem bly to provide c le a r ­
ance fo r radiator rem oval.
3.
R em ove screw s securing radiator retain ers to radia­
tor support and rem ove retain ers and bum pers.
4.
L ift rad iator up out of low er mounts.
out of veh icle if applicable.
5. Inspect
low er
pads
n ecessary.
6.
L o w e r shroud and rad iator into position and secu re
shroud with bottom attaching screw s.
7. Install two reta in ers at top of rad iator and shroud
with four screw s.

8. In stall two retain ers at top of radiator and shroud
with six screw s.
9. Install surge tank, connect water hoses, f i l l cooling
system and check fo r leaks.
10. R e fe r to torque sp ecification s in re a r of manual fo r
c o r re c t torque values.

radiator
