NOTE:
The m aster cylin d er must be fille d to
1/2" below the top of r e s e r v o ir .
must be fr e e of air.
NOTE:
On T E 600 M odels with R PO L-4 3 the
slave cylin d er is mounted on the transm ission,
how ever, these procedures a re s t ill applicable.
Clutch Pedal Total Travel
1. Disconnect the clutch fo rk return spring.
2. Bottom sla ve cylin d er push rod and piston by pushing
the
sla ve cylin d er push rod into the cylin der as
fa r as it w ill go (fig . 6).
3. M ove
the
clutch
fo rk
touches the p ressu re plate re le a s e le v e r s .
4. Adjust clearance between the slave cylin d er push rod
fulcrum
( " V"
block) by adjusting nut behind it to
p rop er clearance between fulcrum p ivot and clutch
fo rk (fig. 6).

Adjust clutch m aster cylin d er adjustable push rod to
obtain fr e e tra v e l between the clutch m aster cylinder
push
rod,
and the m aster cylin d er piston.
amount to 1/4" fr e e pedal tr a v e l m easured at the center
line of the pedal pad, just b efo re the clutch push rod
touches the m aster cylin der piston (fig . 7).
NOTE:
This w ill insure the m aster cylin der
piston m oving su fficien tly to u ncover the port in
the m aster cylin d er r e s e r v o ir .

Removal
1. P u ll parking brake le v e r to applied position.

2. R em ove bolt at clutch pedal push rod le v e r, then
rem ove le v e r fro m pedal shaft.
3. Hold pedal pad with one hand and slid e pedal and
shaft assem bly outboard enough to c le a r pedal stop,
then allow return spring (o r o ve rce n ter sprin g) to
pull pedal up high enough to unhook spring fro m pedal
arm .
4. Rem ove
pedal
and
shaft
bracket.
Inspection
1. Check clutch pedal bushings fo r e x ces sive w ear and
replace i f necessary.
2. Check clutch pedal shaft fo r w ear and alignm ent and
straighten o r rep la ce if n ecessary.
Installation
NOTE:
Use new shaft bushing i f needed and
lu bricate with Lu briplate o r petrolatum .
1. Slide one pedal shaft bushing o v e r shaft, in stall shaft
in support enough to s till c le a r pedal bumper stop,
hook pedal return (o r overce n ter) sprin g to pedal,
then rotate pedal fo rw a rd of bumper stop; slid e shaft
into position in support and re le a s e pedal against
bumper stop.
2. In stall clutch pedal shaft bushing o v e r pedal shaft end
and into place in sle eve.
3. A ssem b le pedal push rod le v e r ove r pedal shaft and
in stall bolts, w ashers, and nut. Torque to 25 ft. lbs.
4. Adjust clutch pedal fr e e tra v e l as needed.
CLUTCH PEDAL—TILT CAB (Fig. 9 )
Removal
1. T ilt cab fo rw a rd and block in place.
2. Rem ove upper to lo w e r clutch pedal arm bolt and
slid e upper arm through flo o r boards.
