Removal and Installation
1. D rain tank.
2. Disconnect
f i ll e r
neck
clamp.
3. Disconnect fu el line and w irin g fro m tank unit. Ign i­
tion switch must be in O F F position.
NOTE:
On
m odels w here top of tank is not
rea d ily a ccessib le,
loosen tank support straps
enough to disconnect gauge w ire on flo a t unit.
4. R em ove tank support straps and lo w e r tank to flo o r.
5. T o in stall, re v e rs e the rem o va l procedu re. R eplace
a ll anti-squeak m aterial.
FUEL LINE SERVICE
The fu el lin es should be inspected occasion ally fo r
leaks, kinks o r dents. I f evidence of d irt is found in the
carbu retor, fu el pump o r on a disassem bly, the lin es
should be disconnected and blown out.

When rep lacin g a fu el line, only seam less ste e l tubing
is
to
be
used.
A lso,
the ends of the tubing must be
dou b le-fla red using co n im erc ia lly available double fla rin g
tools. A ll fu el lin es must be p ro p e rly routed and retained.
