PUMP PULLEY
Replacement
• Hold pump pulley from turning by com pressing d rive
belt then loosen pump pulley bolts.
• Rem ove d riv e belt as outlined above then rem ove
pump pulley.
• Install pump pulley with retaining bolts hand tight.
• Install and adjust d riv e belt as outlined above.
• Hold pump pulley fro m turning by com pressin g d rive
belt then torque pump pulley bolts to 25 ft. lbs.
(fig- 7).
• Recheck d riv e belt tension and adjust if required.

PUMP FILTER
Replacement
• R em ove d rive b elt and pump pulley as p reviou sly
outlined.
• P r y loose outer disc o f filte r fan.
• Pu ll rem aining portion
(fig. 8).
NOTE: Care should be taken to prevent fr a g ­
ments from entering the a ir intake hole.
• Install the new filte r by drawing it on with the pulley
and pulley bolts (fig . 9). Do not attempt to install a
filte r by ham m ering it on or p ressin g it on.
• D raw the filt e r down evenly by altern ately torquing
the bolts. Make certain that the outer edge o f the
filte r slips into the housing. The slight amount o f
in terferen ce with the housing bore is norm al.
NOTE: A new filte r
operation until its O.D. sealing lip has worn in.

Inspection
• Inspect a ll hoses fo r d eterioration o r holes.
• Inspect all tubes fo r cracks or holes.

Check a ll hose and tube connections.
• Check a ll tube and hose routing. In terferen ce may
cause w ear.
• If leak is suspected on the p ressu re side o f the s y s­
tem or any tubes and/or hoses have been discon­
nected on the p re ssu re side, the connections should
be checked fo r leaks with a soapy w ater solution.
With the pump running, bubbles w ill form i f a leak
exists (fig. 10).
