half of hinge assem bly to p e rm it this adjustment.
The outer surface of door when p ro p e rly installed
should be flush with adjacent panel su rfaces of cab. If
n ecessary, reposition door as follow s:
1. Loosen sligh tly, a ll cap s c re w s which attach hinge
half to cab p illa r.
2. If door is to be brought outward fro m cab opening,
apply p re s s u re at door hinge area fro m inside cab.
If door is to be m oved inward, apply p ressu re on
door outer panel at hinge area.
IMPORTANT: E xc e s s iv e p ressu re w ill damage
door paneling.
3. A fte r adjustment has been made, tighten hinge cap
screw s fir m ly . Open and close door to check o p er­
ation. Readjust if necessary.
NOTE: It may be
s tr ik e r on p illa r a fter making above adjustment.

DOOR STRIKER
The door s trik e r consists of a sp ecial bolt and w asher
assem bly which is threaded into a tapped, floa tin g cage
plate located behind the cab lock p illa r as shown in F ig ­
ure 118. The door is secu red in closed position when the
lock cam in door engages and sn a p s-over the s trik e r
bolt. S trik er bolt can be rep la ced or adjusted as d irected
under applicable headings.
NOTE: A ll door s tr ik e r parts, including shims
and bolts, are im portant attaching parts in that

equivalent parts if replacem en t becom es nec­
ess a ry . Do not use replacem ent parts of le s s e r
quality o r substitute design. Torqu e values must
be used as sp ecified during rea ssem b ly to assure
p rop er retention of these parts.
Striker Bolt Replacement
1. M ark position of s trik e r bolt spacer or washer on
door p illa r using pen cil or crayon.
