The tandem re a r suspension
sprin gs, spring saddles and top plates, equalizing beam s,
c ro s s tube and torque rods.
The s e m i-e llip tic spring lea v e s a re assem bled by a
center bolt and two rebound clip s. The forw a rd end o f the
upper two spring le a v e s fo rm
fitted with a rep laceab le bushing (fig. 17). T h is end of
the spring is secured in a hanger by a pin which is held
in place by a lock bolt. The re a r end o f the spring rid es
fr e e in a spring hanger.
Each spring is mounted at its center on a saddle sup­
ported on the end o f a c ro s s tube which p asses through
