4. Position new va lve (7) and valve spring (8) in va lve
body (6) and install cap nut (10). Tighten nut fir m ly .
5. Install te ll tale lamp switch.
installation
1. P osition con trol va lve on mounting bracket and in
stall two screw s.
2. Connect con trol cable to con trol le v e r .
3. Connect a ir in let and check va lve fittin gs.
4. Connect te ll tale lamp connectors to switch.
Check system fo r leaks and p ro p er operation.

A piston type shift cylin d er is mounted on forw ard rea r
ax le torque d iv id er case c o ver.
to slidin g clutch. As a ir p ressu re is applied to piston,
slidin g clutch is shifted into locked position. When a ir
p re ss u re is exhausted fro m shift cylin d er, spring p r e s
sure returns slidin g clutch to unlocked position.
Shift cylin d er should be rem oved, disassem bled, and
the piston seals replaced w henever leakage is indicated
at the cylin d er.

The number o f p ro p e lle r shafts used is dependent upon
the wheel base o f the veh icle. On veh icles which use two
o r m ore p r o p e lle r shafts, each shaft (except the r e a r) is
supported near its splined end in a rubber cushioned ball
bearin g which is mounted in a bracket attached to a fra m e
crossm em b er.
The ball bearin g is a perm anently sealed
and lubricated type.
