CA U TIO N :
Be ex tre m ely ca refu l when in s e rt­
ing diaphragm push rod through seal to avoid
damaging seal.
L e t up slightly on pump and turn diaphragm 90° so
that pull rod ro lls onto link (fig„ 8P).
L ift diaphragm cloth and position va lve and cage in
re c e s s close to mounting flange. No gasket is r e ­
quired because the diaphragm seals the va lve cage.
B efo re installing vacuum co v er, ro ck er arm must be
positioned so that vacuum diaphragm w ill be held
le v e l with the body flange while the vacuum co v er is
in stalled.
This can be done by inserting a 3/32 inch
piece of m etal between rock er arm stop and body.
This tool can be made fro m a p iece of steel 3/16" x
3/32" x 6". Bend one end to fo rm a righ t angle 3/8"
fro m bend to end.

tainer.

holes.

and body flange and in sta ll two screw s d ia m etric a lly
opposite.

10-32NF x 1-1/2" screw s may be
