The tip of the plunger guide and the
en tire plunger should also be coated. See LU ­
B R IC A T IO N (SEC. 0) fo r type of lubricant to be
used.
1. In stall new s e a l on adjusting plunger and actuator.
2. In stall
adjusting
plunger
housing.
3. Tap plunger sea l into place in spider housing. See
figu re 92.
4. S crew adjusting bolt into actuator to the fu ll length
of threads, then back off 1/4 turn so that sc re w w ill
not jam and fa il to adjust when assem bly is com ­
plete. See F igu re 86.
5. Install plunger guide in sp id er housing.
the guide with teeth is in stalled fir s t and the fla t
sides o f the guide must fit into the slot in the ad­
justing plunger to m esh with the outer teeth of the
actuator.
C AUTIO N:
The ch am fered notch on the back
end of the guide must be tow ard the plunger seal
end of the housing, otherw ise the automatic ad-
