tion, place k eep er behind lock plunger and attach to
door with sheet m etal sc re w s .

holes eqully spaced a cro ss bottom of
window rubber on the outside. Keep holes in straight
part of rubber. Using 1/4" d iam eter d r ill bit start
holes 1/2 inch below top edge of rubber and d r ill up
through bottom side of run channel p rovid in g holes
fo r w ater to drain out of channel.
16. P la c e m etal channel o v e r leading edge o f w eather­
s trip with the short le g o f channel on the plush side
of w eath erstrip and tap on with rubber m allet. In­
s ta ll stationary glass re ta in e r clips at top and bot­
tom o f center w eath erstrip .

DRIVER'S W IN D O W SLIDING GLASS
Replacement
1. Using a pointed tool, ra is e one end of the w eather­
strip f i l l e r until it is fa r enough out to take hold of
by
hand.
Then
pull
around the window.
2. Using a pointed tool, ra ise one end of heavy rubber
wedge in front of stationary glass until it can be
grasped by hand. P u ll en tire wedge off its channel.
3. P u ll stationary r e a r glass fo rw a rd until it is out of
rubber at the rea r.
4. U sing sp ecia l w ire hook, furnished with Body Weath-
erstrip p in g T o o l Set (J-2189) o r s im ila r tool, w ork
top of glass out of rubber and lift out of window.
5. I f sliding glass is s till intact, slid e gla ss back until
fron t edge at top is back of joint in w eath erstrip
rubber.
U sing the paint s c ra p e r o r s im ila r object,
slip blade between channel and glass at top.

6. If slid ing glass is already out and there is no damage
to the w eatherstrip rubber o r the glass run channel
then you a re ready to in sta ll a new slid in g glass.
7. T o in stall the sliding glass fo llo w the instructions
