Cab M ounted Tanks (Fig. 2)
Removal and Installation
1. R em ove seat back
back forw ard.
2. R em ove tank co v e r if so equipped.
3. Drain tank.
4. Disconnect fu el line,
5. R em ove lug wrench and lug wrench mount.
6. R em ove seven bolts and fa sten ers securing tank to
cab.
7. R em ove tank fro m cab sim ultaneously disengaging
f i lle r neck fro m the rubber grom m et in the cab
opening,,
8. R em ove m eter assem bly fro m fuel tank using T o o l
J-23346.
9. T o install, r e v e r s e rem ova l procedure.

Removal and Installation
1. Drain tank.
2. R aise veh icle on hoist.

3. Unclamp f i l l e r neck and vent tube hose.
4. Unclamp gauge unit hose at fram e end.
5. Support tank and rem ove support stra p (s).
6. L o w e r tank until gauge unit w irin g can be rem oved.
7. Rem ove fuel tank.
8. Install in the r e v e r s e ord er, being sure that the anti­
squeak m a teria l is replaced.
9. L o w er veh icle and rem ove fro m hoist.

Tanks (Fig. 6 )
Removal and Installation
1. Drain tank.
2. R em ove f i l l e r neck.
3. Disconnect gauge unit fuel line and w irin g.
switch must be in O F F position.
4. Rem ove bolts attaching
5. R em ove tank com plete with mounting brackets and
support straps.
6. Rem ove tank fro m brackets and support straps, if
n ecessary.
7. T o in stall, r e v e r s e the rem ova l procedu re. Replace
all anti-squeak m aterial.
Ignition
