Adjustment
1. Adjust the ven tila tor adjusting nut by turning clock ­
w ise to in crease operating tension (fig . 43).
2. A fte r making adjustment bend tabs o v e r the hex nut.
3. In stall four (4) trim panel screw s and trim panel.
4. In stall door and window regu lator handles.
V en tilato r Glass Replacement
1. Using an o il can o r s im ila r means, squ irt p re p so l on
the glass f il l e r a ll around the glass channel or fram e
to soften the old sea l. When the s e a l has softened,
rem ove the gla ss fro m the channel.
2. Thoroughly clean the inside of the glass channel with
sandpaper, rem ovin g a ll rust, etc.
3. Using new glass channel f ille r , cut the p ie c e to be
in stalled two inches lon ger than n ecessa ry fo r the
channel. P la c e this p ie c e of f i l l e r (soapstoned side
of f il l e r away fro m gla s s ) evenly ov e r the edge of the
glass which w ill fit in the channel.

DOOR W IN D O W ASSEMBLY
Removal
1. C om pletely lo w e r glass to bottom of door.
2. R em ove inside door and window regu la tor handles
using tool J-7797.
3. Rem ove door arm re s t and trim pad.
4. Mask o r co ve r upper portion of door window fram e.
R em ove ven tilator assem bly as p re v io u s ly outlined.
5. Slide glass fo rw a rd until fron t r o lle r is in line with
notch

6. Push window fo rw a rd and tilt fron t portion of window
up until r e a r r o lle r is disengaged.
7. Put window assem bly in norm al position (le v e l) and
ra is e straight up and out.
8. R e v e rs e above procedu re fo r installation.
W IN D O W REGULATOR REPLACEMENT (Fig. 4 4 )
Removal
1. Wind window a ll the way up.
2. Rem ove inside door handles with T o o l J-7797.
3. Rem ove

4. Rem ove 4 screw s securing regu lator to inner panel.
5. Push regu lator out of c irc u la r opening w hile holding
r e a r of assem bly, then slid e assem bly to the notches
in the c a r r ie r channel and out through the door ac­
cess hole.
Installation
Install regu lator in re v e r s e o rd e r of rem oval, lubricate
regu la tor gears with lubriplate o r equivalent.
