2. In stall grom m et on cap nut and screw cap nut into
body and tighten secu rely.
Installation
P osition valve in place with a rro w on side of body in ­
dicating d irection o f a ir flow . Secure a ir lin es to each
end of the valve.
Testing Rebuilt Unit
Both operation and leakage tests must be made as out­
lined under Maintenance and Adjustm ents— Single Check
V a lve.
LOW PRESSURE INDICATOR SWITCH (Fig. I l l )
The low p ressu re
switch connects to a bu zzer that
sounds w henever a ir p ressu re drops below 60 psi.
Removal
1. Make certain ignition is o ff.
2. Exhaust a ll a ir fro m brake system .
3. Disconnect
the
e le c tr ic a l
p ressu re in dicator switch.
4. Disconnect the a ir line to the low p ressu re indicator
switch.
Installation
1. Mount indicator in place.
2. Attach and tighten mounting nut and connect a ir line.
3. Attach and tighten e le c tr ic a l connection.

1. B lock
and hold veh icle by means other than a ir
brakes.
2. Drain the a ir fro m the system .
3. Disconnect
the
e le c tr ic a l
p ressu re switch.
4. Disconnect the a ir line at the low pressu re switch.
5. U nscrew
the
switch
6. R ein stall new switch into the o rig in a l location and
tighten secu rely.
7. Connect a ir line and e le c tr ic a l connections to the
switch.
8. Build up the a ir in the system and check switch fo r
leaks.
9. Check operation o f switch.
AIR GAUGE
An a ir pressu re gauge, located on the instrum ent panel,
shows a ir pressu re in the system . It works in conjunction
with the low p ressu re switch to warn the op erator o f low
a ir pressu re.
