Command introduced before JunosE Release 7.1.0.
Assigns a password used by neighboring routers for authentication of IS-IS level 1 LSPs,
CSNPs, and PSNPs. The no version deletes the password.
NOTE: Issuing this command enables simple authentication of level 1 LSPs only. To
enable authentication of level 1 CSNPs or PSNPs, use the area-authentication command.
0—Indicates the authKey is entered in unencrypted form (plaintext); this is the default
option
8—Indicates the authKey is entered in encrypted form (ciphertext)
authKey—Password, string of up to 8 characters
