How to Edit
Parameter Values

RECIPE SETUP DESCRIPTION
Because many of the parameters in a recipe are product or speed
dependent, it is difficult to suggest specific values for every parameter.
Typical values are suggested where possible. To make developing a
recipe easier, it is recommended to edit an existing recipe. For our cus-
tomers' convenience, two default recipes are loaded into the bagger.

Recipe 31 is a permanent default single pull recipe. Recipe 32 is a
permanent default double pull recipe. These recipes cannot be
overwritten.
Timed functions are generally dependent on product drop time. The
longer the fall time, the greater the time entered (marbles fall faster
than feathers).
In the case of machine timed functions, speed and bag length are the
two major contributors to parameter values. Pneumatic functions tend
to take a fixed amount of time to complete (jaw close time).
Because the bag making cycle is limited to 360°, the more degrees it
takes to open and close the jaws, the less time there is for sealing.
Within limits, increasing temperature may compensate for the reduced
sealing time.

10 ms of a timed function is equal to approximately nine machine
degrees.
The recommended procedure for generating new bag making recipes
is:
1.
Load a recipe that is similar to the required speed and bag
size.
2.
Edit parameters as needed.
3.
Test the recipe.
4.
Save as the next available recipe.
1.
Verify the function is enabled or on.
2.
Touch the parameter value field.
A keypad displays.
3.
Key in the value.
4.
Touch Enter.
